Whilst I do love Mubi Go, I do think that The Brutalist is one of those films that has enough of a buzz around it to not need to be a Mubi Go film. It’s almost impossible to find a screening with free seats anywhere in London (same was true for Napoleon).
Prefer if Mubi Go is used for small films I wouldn’t otherwise watch.
Yeah, same thing with me. I put so much on my watchlist and then when I went to it, only about 12 of them were available to stream. It was then I saw the ‘available now’ slider.

Haven’t had Mubi in years, omg the UI is so beautiful these days. Worth the admission alone.
On Falling is great. Really sharply observed, character-xriven, devastating.
The warmth and humanity of it all was so unbearable (in a good way). Everyone was so caring and nice but there still seemed no way out.
That scene in the park was utterly heartbreaking. 4 stars

Fucksake, I’ve got an annual sub with them that renewed a few weeks ago. Cancelled now and told them why, for what that’s worth.

BFI player is pretty good. Worked better for me via Amazon Prime though annoyingly.
Yeah the BFI Player as a standalone app was fucking abysmal when I tried it last year. Only used it to watch Beautiful Thing and some other bollocks though.
Will say that Mubi do wonderful blu-ray packages these days. Always affordable compared to other labels and include extra posters and post cards etc

The Kelly Reichart films (Meek’s Cutoff, First Cow and The Mastermind) are all excellent if you like understated character pieces.
There was a bunch of Christian Petzold movies, enjoyed all the ones I’ve seen: stylish & thought-provoking dramas, and Undine an interesting dip into fantasy.
La Chimera, an entertaining comedy-drama about an archaeologist-turned-plunderer.
Trenque Lauquen for a winding, Twin Peaks-esque mystery.
Twin Peaks is all on there too if that’s your bag. As is Lars Von Trier’s series The Kingdom, which is a lot of fun in a similar, hospitally kind of way.
