Absolute garbage. The worst form of cake. Only fancy expensive cupcakes and doughnuts run them close. Get rid of them and just make more normal cake imo.
need more moistness. like a big dose of wet. filled with some form of sauce they’re legit.

Normal cupcake made by someone for a school fete or bake sale or whatever = fine
new trendy cupcake with half a metre of icing on top and a miniature plastic unicorn or somesuch = bin

Shop muffins are generally a bit shit (although a choco one warmed up in the microwave with ice cream is real good)
Homemade muffins have the potential to be fantastic.
Pro-Muffin lobby here, also I regret reading this thread while hungry as I have no idea where I’m going to get a muffin from in my local area and it’s the only thing I want right now.
Nowhere near the same league as ‘a piece of cake’ though.
