:frowning:

He was a big part of why I watched F1 in the 90s.

His delivery made the commentary in the old f1 games sound just like his actual commentary which I always enjoyed

The sound of Sunday afternoon, a huge part of growing up.

Is that thing about him inventing the A Mars a day helps you work, rest and play slogan true?

Absolutely loved him. Massive part of my childhood.

Vividly remember watching this as a kid - the โ€˜Iโ€™ve got to stop because iโ€™ ve got a lump in my throatโ€™ always got me.

He worked on the ad account that invented it, but it wasnโ€™t his slogan.

Never been a huge F1 fan but he was the voice of F1 when growing up. Good bloke.

Hard to be too sad when he made it to 97 but he will be missed, an absolute institution. If youโ€™ve found something you love as much as Murray loved motorsport youโ€™re doing alright.

A part of the furniture in my formative years growing up watching F1 in the 90s. As has already been said, a top bloke - would loved to have had him as a grandad - who travelled the world, being paid to commentate on his number one passion. What a life.
