I’m about 7 minutes into Dopesmoker and I kind of want to keep going, but it’s making a mockery of the league and whoever submitted it is chuckling away to themselves at how clever they are, so I should skip it out of principle. There’s not room for cleverness here. It’s why I didn’t submit John Cage’s 4’33.

thought this was the band Noir Desir at first glance, not a song of the same name, and I was pretty surprised to see them on a DiS playlist. They were very good musically, but also really problematic

ah i haven’t listened yet, but yeah it doesn’t look as bone-crushing as i expected, the reason i considered changing mine was i was worried it wasn’t heavy enough
But the theme is songs that need to be played loud, not songs that are loud. Very big distinction.
I shiuldve really subverted expectations and picked a song mastered really quietly so you HAVE to play it loud otherwise you won’t hear it well
