You can change that in one of the settings. I think I changed that for the same reason.

In more important news, and I’m sure most of you have done so already, I’ve checked to see who has voted for my songs the most so far, and therefore who my favourite DiSers are. So congratulations to:

1st place: @Marwood, 6 votes, 8 points
2nd place: @furryfan , 4 votes, 5 points
3rd place: @JohnM, 4 votes, 4 points
4th place: Stephen F (not sure of username), 4 votes, 4 points
5th place: @ma0sm, 3 votes, 3 points

It’s all to play for!

(It’s also easier to count up your points when you don’t get too many points)

Aha! Keep up the good votes!

Is there somewhere this data is collated or did you do that manually?

nothing involved, really. just wondered whether the three of us accept the game’s tie-breaking method or share the bronze between us. i’m easy either way and we don’t have to make this decision, i was just on a flight of fancy

theoretically, who would you have put higher, a player who had made you king once with ten points, but not voted for any of your other picks, or a player who had given 9 of your picks 1 point each?

obviously the game would put the kingmaker higher, but if i collated this, i’d prioritise number of picks

Manually I’m afraid!

Yeah, I’d definitely prefer the numbee of individual points too. I’m more happy seeing people vote more than once. I have only received a maximum of 2 points from a few people so far, so thankfully I haven’t had any kingmakers throw a spanner into the works and upset my data.

So Kingmakers: if you suspect a song might be my song, please don’t Kingmake me, as that would be really really bad for my spreadsheet. Ok?

Just dawned on me that I was actually voting for Trigger Cut, not In the Mouth a Desert. Still a good song, but skipping the ones you listen to regularly doesn’t work when you’re half asleep.

Forgotten how much I loved Have You In My Wilderness, so cheers @woweezowee for leading me to a long overdue revisit!

Ta also to those that voted for Metz’ Drained Lake! To those unfamiliar with the band I would thoroughly recommend working through their short but utterly excellent catalogue - probably starting with either of their most recent two records:

Strange Peace (which features Drained Lake)

Atlas Vending
