Really strong playlist, this, liked almost everything on it (although that Car Seat Headrest song went on a bit). Some surprises in the voting, a few things I thought would do very well languishing near the bottom.

Just the the sake of balance, I thought this playlist was really…dull. Definitely not up there with the best.

for me, there were fewer standouts, but it was very consistent. Way moreso than the “loud” round, for example, imho…

Looking at what it must have been, yes it does. It’s not my pick, and your kingmakery has put what you kingmakered ahead of my pick, but I still salute this as exemplar kingmaking.

EDIT - I recommend the book ‘A New Day Yesterday’, even if just for the section on this record (the whole thing is great though)

Music League scoring is a mystery to me. River Euphrates is a better song than Monkey Gone To Heaven if you ask me yet the latter landed a podium place and the former is languishing in the relegation zone
