I agree to this. It doesn’t have to be “flashy” drums either, but more that the drums are a noticeable part of the song’s appeal.

So yes, this was the second theme I chose. The initial remit was great drumming/percussion, which I feel covers electronic drums, cajóns, tablas, bongos, and so on.

I chose it because I’m a drummer and great drums/percussion form a part of pretty much all the music I love and I always love discovering stuff with great rhythms.

Finally, I only like “flashy” drums if they’re also grounded, so if you want to win my heart, no 10-minute drum solos! But hey, I’ve only got ten points to give, so if that’s your bag, it might be someone else’s too…
