This is something I’ve not seen mentioned on this particular bit of the forum but deserves a thread of its own and is going to be a huge, massive fuckstorm this winter.
Really not sure how these places are going to deal with massive increase in overheads on top of people tightening their belt and going out less.
I did comment on it in the “Last night’s gig was” thread but “good” to have its own thread.
Well this is fucking terrible news…
It’s hard to describe just how shit Edinburgh was for gigs in the few years before Summerhall opened.

Hearing through the grapevine that the CCA in Glasgow has gone into administration (although that should be read as: they are gone completely). Financial mismanagement for a number of years across multiple boards, so not surprising.
