Music videos that recreate other videos

I was chatting to someone at the weekend and I mentioned this music video we made for Enjoy the Silence by The Anchoress (from the album Versions on the DiS label) and we were wondering if there are any other music videos that recreate or massively pay homage to another music video (or film or something else).

I could only really think of Gnarls Barkley visual references, which is annoying as there are at least 3 videos on the tip of my tongue that I can’t think of. Over to you.

Can’t think of ones where an actual video is recreated, but there’s that Shins video that pays homage to lots of great album covers.

Also, No One Knows by QotSA nods to ABBA in the headshot bits.

Pretty sure I’ve seen heaps of homages to the Bohemian Rhapsody headshots too, but can’t recall where. Probably in a Darkness video if nowhere else.

And then the Bittersweet Symphony video that’s parodied is itself at least inspired by, if not a recreation of, Unfinished Sympathy.

Loved this 2010 single from Leeds’ Lone Wolf anyway but the video is Sledgehammer on a budget.
