If there’s one thing that the JAMuary process has given me, it is an improved ability to play banjo. I even have banjo callouses now. I’d rate my ability as having gone from ‘bad’ to just ‘quite bad’.

So, right.

My band Failed Psychics are looking for a new bass player. If you’re interested, please drop me a DM.

Character description:

  • Should be based around Brighton.
  • Should be into stuff we like, such as 80s/90s American post-hardcore (Fugazi, Minutemen, Unwound) or stuff like The Fall, Shudder to Think, Sleater-Kinney, or more modern stuff like Jeff Rosenstock, Pile or Broker.
  • Should understand that we are still currently a small band. We have ambitions but we are currently mostly playing small gigs around Brighton.
  • No egos.

Desirable qualities:

  • Some help with social media stuff (Facebook/Instagram) would be appreciated since I’ve taken it over, but this was mostly James’s gig.

We love playing music together. We want to make our own stuff, release our own records, play good gigs and have fun together, and see where that goes.
