Never known someone just into ska, as an extension to skate punk loads

Failing to believe that Amy the Indie was the most ridiculous out of these.

There’s a nu-raver ffs

Does anyone have a link to the Nu Raver video? I don’t remember it at all.

Been thinking a lot about nu rave recently. What a time that was.

How the fuck is emo not on there. Already been and gone? Or is that scene kid.

This must mean something.

Ska kids were absolutely a thing, in the NE of England at least. Less than Jake, Reel Big Fish et al basically played the O2 Academy all the time on cheapo package tours.
Around 16/17, most people left the ska behind and either went full Rancid/Nofx or went Gallows/Enter Shikari.
My good mate in sixth form stayed true to ska, and the first time we took acid together as a big group, he wouldn’t shut up about how great ska was and kept putting ska songs on. He also bought a unicycle and got a Zebrahead tatooo.
A real insight into small town northern England there, considering writing a thesis on this topic.

Top memories of this era: Adam the mosher running over, taking a scene kid’s shoes and running off saying “TAXED YOUR SHOES, YOU GREEB”
