My Rubin’s Cube Journey

I once got given a Rubin’s Cube as a kid and dreamed of solving it, but I had no patience or aptitude for that sort of thing so abandoned it pretty quickly.

Last week I got some RC speed solver video in my Facebook feed, and, looking for an activity to occupy my hands and brain away from my phone, I got the urge to try again and bought one on a whim.

Here it is out of the box:

This thread will be used to record my progress and hold me accountable so I actually commit to solving it. Wish me luck!

Might wanna start with getting the name right.

Been making veggie reuben sandwiches for lunch this week. Got a great Russian dressing on the go.

My son got really into speed cubing about 6 months ago. Was trying to solve 3x3s with his feet and all sorts. Completely forgotten about them now though.

Is this different to a Rubik’s cube somehow or is that a typo?

Good luck!
