and it’s really embarrassing because it’s such an immature phrase. Can’t use something like ‘sick’ cos I’m too old/I never use new superlatives cos I always think there’ll be a really awkward moment when I use it for the first time and people will laugh. No idea how people actually do it. I need to start saying ‘great’, but with my accent it’s an annoying one because I can’t decide whether to give it a hard ‘t’ at the end or a missing Manc one, similarly with the ‘r’ I’m indecisive about whether to roll it or not.
What do you use? I do use ‘brilliant’ sometimes but it’s usually too high praise for casual usage.
