did they nick the Secret Sessions artwork from a free Uncut Magazine CD? even the font looks the same!

You know, I’d not actually really paid attention to the artwork. Add that to the list of things about My Vitriol that I’ve ignored.

Surely TOD have more material across Madonna and Source Tags than Mv, and that makes MV the support?

not sure that volume of material has owt to do with it. omar rodriguez should headline every show ever by that logic.

I meant if they’re performing two albums, in full, how can that be the support act?

haha oh. i presume they wont do both on the same night?! surely…

They’ve been rubbish since World’s Apart though, so I guess there’s a certain logic here.

agreed but source tags has a good enough reputation to deserve its own dont’ look back kinda show. a seminal album as a support act for a band who had a moderate success in 2001.

Perhaps MV will enjoy half the audience leaving after TOD’s set.

This is what I was thinking, tempted to get tickets just to see ToD

Kevin wont be there to sing baudelaire and mark david chapman. Gonna be bad usnt it?

Paid 15 notes to see Trail of Dead doing Source Tags at Dingwalls in Camden back in 2014. Ended with an amazing acoustic rendition of Caterwaul right in the crowd. One of the best gigs I have ever been to.

Could justify this as: watch great band > watch carcrash

First thing that crossed my mind. I’d gladly pay £30 to see ToD play those two albums and I’d assume many others would as well. Going to hold off and see if they head north for a standalone date elsewhere.

That sounds amazing, I love Caterwaul - such a beast of a song.

It’s definitely crazy to think there is a bigger audience for MV than TOD when we consider that period.

Obviously I’m a MASSIVE fan of the Madonna album. Source Tags for me is let down by Baudelaire and Monsoon which I always find really dull and overlong, but I guess you’ve got to have a moment to pop to the bar?
