Imagine if they released new music tomorrow - 29th February. It would be like they were in on the joke all along.

Surely ‘new’ should be in capitals… but then I think oh this is MV we are talking about, of course they’ve highlighted the music aspect

Turns out Som’s got into free-range egg production near Melbourne

Don’t you just topple over all the time with such tiny feet?

This thread just keeps delivering, even when you think “no, there’s not more to this…BAM! There it is.” Lovely stuff.

It must be despiriting for them that the original is so forgettable they think they can release it twice.

It’s the 20th Anniversary of Finelines next year so it’s only a matter of time before we get the “Finelines: played in full! Live! Islington Academy/Scala!” announcement.

Fanbase-only reissue, an MV-logo shaped USB stick with the album, the b-sides album and that ropey live album, all in 96kbps mp3s. A digital booklet on the history of the album, how everyone treats Som unfairly, and the left-wing case for leaving the EU is promised, but ends up being delayed.

I think you’re over estimating their technological capabilities with the USB stick. It’s more likely they’ll re-package the original CD with a bonus CD-ROM featuring the original video for Always Your Way In MP4 format and a couple of live tracks from a fan-base exclusive gig. In a few years time they will refer to this as the “fourth official My Vitriol album” and play it in full.

Did I dream them sharing an IG story asking fans if they wanted more covers and whether they’d shell out £9.99 a month for them?

shit wankers

Bundle 1: £40. bundle to include CD and Exclusive(!) (leftover) t shirt from the Finelines era

Bundle 2: £100. bundle to include CD and 2 minute meet and greet (no photos) at any of the forthcoming 20th anniversary fanbase only shows (show ticket not included)

I hope not!

Probably the My Vitriol Coca Cola one.

More likely on minidisc.

Or Som buying some C90 BASF cassettes and copying his CD version of Finelines onto them.

“Hey guys, I’m recording music for you”
