Hi - long time My Vitriol thread lurker, first time My Vitriol thread poster.

They just announced a show at Islington Assembly Hall on 1st November. Tickets from £24.20 (TWENTY FOUR POUNDS TWENTY)

Daughters are playing there the night before for £5 less. I know which one I’d rather go to.

Everybody knows that the first day of November is the 2nd. They’re fooling no-one.

Watch them cancel because they double booked the place with Wyclef…

Never actually used Dice, is it a ticket vendor or just a platform?

Same, so not entirely sure. It’s the only link that Islington Assembly Hall have provided, so I get the feeling it’s just a slightly fancier Eventbrite?

Mmmmm.

I know before they just selling tickets directly, which isn’t dodge per se but I certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable buying given… who they are. This has a promoter listed but I suspect it’s just Som/the band again…

Dice is a ticket vendor who have an exclusivity deal with Islington Assembly Hall

Used dice loads, pretty sure they are a vendor, their waiting list has never let me down

Thanks both.

Something vaguely professional from MV, definitely in the weirdest timeline

Really like the dice app, makes it super easy to book tickets and it’s never given me any problems, 5 Stars.

Full disclosure, someone I know worked for dice, but it is also good

Never used it, don’t think any promoters out of London bother with it.

Is it the one that doesn’t do booking fees?

they claim they only have ‘curated’ events on their app, find that hard to believe though

I used it for a gig at Clwb Ifor Bach (Cardiff) a few weeks ago. Was alright, easy to use, can see it cutting down on touts

It used to not have booking fees when it launched, and for a good number of months afterwards, which was great. It now has booking fees, but they’re just rolled up together in one price that you see.

I really like the app though. Super easy to use, and it’s nice to be able to easily see what gigs you’ve got coming up, and not having to search through your email to look for your tickets. Plus it’s nice seeing the precious gigs you’ve bought through them.
