I’ve said this before but Libertines Don’t Look Back Into the Sun always reminds me of a Lemmings level tune:

Presented here precisely due to the “nagging” thing rather than it being a rip off.

Try Honesty by Billy Talent always reminds me of One Armed Scissor

Also Svalbard last night have a song that sounds just likw Killing It by A Wilhelm Scream, Ill dig it out later

The very start of About You Now by Sugababes sounds like Hard To Explain

might be a stretch, but the piano bits added later in the second video cement it for me.

PJ Harvey - Let England Shake

The Four LADs - Istanbul (not Constantinople)

Stephen Malkmus - Jo Jo’s Jacket

It’s just one chord, I know, but every time my Mac starts I sing “I’m not what you think I am”

When she played this on the Andrew Marr show, she had The Four Lads sample running in the background.

The solo in the first track off the new cloud nothings ‘Up to the Surface’ sounds an awful lot like Viva la Vida

American Idiot by Green Day rips off Dillinger Four’s Doublewhiskeycokenoice

Was just listening to Mogwai now and had to see if anyone else had noticed that they are the exact same song. Glad someone has!

These two share a nearly identical bit, I was happy to hear it when I finally discovered Tamaryn this year.

The Smashing Pumpkins - Suffer (1991)

Tamaryn - Coral Flower (2010)

…these two songs are entwined in my mind…

A friend has a message alert on his phone that nagged me for ages. Turned out to be similar to the “doo doo doo -. do do do” noise in between rounds of A Question of Sport.

This one isn’t exact, but I’ve been trying to figure out for three years what Identikit reminds me of and it suddenly dawned on me. I like the idea of Radiohead being influenced by 311.

311, Beautiful Disaster (1997)

Radiohead - Identikit (2016) (a live version at least)

I am certain I mentioned this on the old boards, possibly in a similar thread but I always thought the main vocal melody of

reminded me of the one from the first Lemmings level

The riff in Oasis’ Hindu Times is exactly the same as Stereophonics’ Same Size Feet. As evidenced by this handy YouTube comparison.

There’s a song on the new Silversun Pickups album that sounds like a more sour version of Aerials by System of a Down, if that makes sense.
