With this year’s Mercury Prize shortlist announced, tell me who you think should be on the longlist

Would be a massive help if you formatted your suggestion(s) with
ARTIST NAME - Album Title

Feel free to add a sentence or two about the album to intrigue people.

We use the same eligibility time period and acts need to be from British and Irish acts, releases between July 15, 2023 and July 12, 2024.

The next step in the process is for me to compile a long list and listen to all of them contenders and create a shortlist representative of the community

The 12 albums are chosen by an independent judging panel and recognise artistic achievement across a range of genres. Albums by British and Irish artists with a UK release date between July 15, 2023 and July 12, 2024 were eligible for the 2024 Prize.
