‘Lighthouse’ off this record is one of my absolute favourite of hers. Absolute stunner.

So is Spud Infinity a new song? I only own the three Big Thief albums and her most recent solo one, and Spotify isn’t throwing anything up.

Really liked it when I heard it live and wouldn’t mind hearing a recorded version if one exists…

I’m late to the party but this is very, very good.

I think Jenni is my favourite track. It’s so atmospheric.

Opening in Berlin was Real love/shark smile/masterpiece so good

Think it’s my favourite too. Feel I need to listen to it at home or on some headphones rather than the car to really get the most of this.

blimey, they weren’t fucking around that night eh? where were they playing?

Lido, unbearably hot.

I know nothing about this band but I’ve just chosen this as the first thing I listen to by them and it’s bloody beautiful. I guess I just get all the albums then ? any particular one stand out ?

U.F.O.F is their best for me, followed by Capacity. I weirdly didn’t connect with the first album.

Mythological Beauty is probably their best song.

I love the new album, but still think Capacity is their best, and I love their first too. Favourite track by them is Shark Smile, which is also one of my favourite tracks by anyone ever. Really like this live version:

oh that’s nice and intimate for them though, I saw Alex Cameron there and it was class

I also kinda felt this until I saw them the other week, but ‘Real Love’ was so amazing at that show that it made me go back and reassess and now I love Masterpiece too. All three records are brilliant and special in their own way @Richie_Ronco they’ve just got comparatively darker and more ambitious with each one. Lenker’s solo records are also worth listening to once you’ve worked your way through the three Big Thief records.

That’s my favourite, but they’re all amazing tbh. Also, cracker of an intro for you

This song has grown to be one of my all time favourites.

Only got into them after U.F.O.F, so I worked my way backwards through their records. There’s not much between them but I’d probably go U.F.O.F > Capacity > Masterpiece.

Title track from the first record is fucking glorious…

Next album should be interesting…

Think this is pretty much my AOTY right now. It’s a tie between this and Blue Spring anyway. Can’t remember the last time I was so gripped by an album.

only 5 star album for me of this year so far imo

Also my AOTY by some distance.

Annoyingly though, I’m finding it really hard to sell others on it / them generally. Figured they’d be catnip for the dissillusioned Ryan Adams crowd but my recommendations are usually met with complete apathy while they lose their shit over the latest Jenny Lewis album (also great, just not this great y’know?)
