Looks like someone placed the picture on Dylan’s monitor for a “laugh”. Guess they didn’t take kindly to people arsing around, especially given a slower part of the song
Mmm. Read various things saying that they were pretty pissed off from the start
they seemed pretty disconnected in Glasgow the other night tbh… but I dunno, in a perverse way I hope there’s something else going on because otherwise, it’s pretty unprofessional
Nath said something about them having a serious issue with their own (CN) sound guy throughout the gig, but that tweet seems to have disappeared.
Not surprised some Leeds bros managed to urk them - yet more proof that Sheffield is the superior yorkshire city.
They weren’t particularly chatty in manchester on saturday but put on a great show and didn’t seem particularly grumpy
Me too. They really felt like they were going through the motions in Stockholm and that wasn’t too far through the tour I don’t think!
the sound I felt was surprisingly muddy the other night which is weird for Stereo - it’s usually one of the best sounding venues in the city
sorry my point here is if the sound-guy thing is true
Sound was good at the deaf institute in manchester, and I’ve never really known there to be sound issues at the brudenell either. just seems like they’re have an off day/week
So which artists should I avoid recreating when I start arranging and printing my usual poster set to take to their Brighton gig on Thursday?
Not saying they wouldn’t get shirty at some points but gotta say met them at the merch table after the gig and the bassist in particular was incredibly friendly and introduced himself to me - I think tbh the idea of being a “big band” might get to them a bit and if you just treat them like normal people they’re top fellas.
maybe they’re fans of Peter Gabriel
It seemed to be the normal Stereo guy doing the sound which was odd as I agree, it sounded pretty muddy and Stereo is usually so great
Nah they had their own guy, the usual dude was helping set up, it was yer man in the Cleveland Browns hoodie
That maybe explains it
Who’s going tonight then? Somehow I’ve never been to a gig at Koko - is it as bad as some people are making out? What’s the sound like?
For those who’ve been to shows this month- Is the set-list mostly from the last three albums or do they do some stuff from the first two?
Saw them on the HANE tour and they only played material from the latter two. Expect they’ll play only stuff from the last three tonight.
Also, does anyone have the rough stage times from the other shows?
Glasgow was 8/9 songs off new album, 2 each off previous two
Ive seen them several times and they are always kind of grumpy/not chatty. Must be something else that happened that night.
So, all of the new album then, pretty much? I like it a lot, but ideally would prefer 4/5 of each
