London crowds. Jesus! Didn’t have any issues getting in, but were there in good time for Bunny Michael, then heard about the queue in the break. What is it with London and chatting, though? Enjoyed a number of gigs in Reading this year, no chat. Show up London and it’s like one of those threads where the no chat tag is completely ignored. So kuch chat. In fact little more than solid chat. Also, what’s with lights under the balcony being in the whole time?

Yeah, the house lights above the balcony were on the whole time too. Really detracted from the experience.

No issues where I was stood to be honest. Fucking hate London crowds being chatty bellends though, always think it’s such a desperate attempt to be seen at something rather than actually going to something you enjoy.

For Bunny we were down the front, but went back afterwards for a drink/toilet etc, so it was a bit crowded by the time we went back. then we went to the side near the bar, as it was quiet there, but as soon as they came on, despite the signs asking to leave space for the shorter ones, a guy sat up on the railing above the stairs blocking my wife and two other women’s view, then people started piling in and blocked what limited thing they could see past him, so we went backwards, but everywhere back there was riddled with chatters. a few of them were dancing and having fun, so I’ll 'llow them, but many fit your, ‘to be seen at’, mentality.

Yeah I really admired that statement the band put out and it was pretty predominantly displayed all around the venue but I was somewhere in the middle and did wonder how it was down the front. Doesn’t sound like many people were that respectful of their wishes then?

The thinly veiled really likes The Troxy, but I don’t rate it as a venue at all. The stage is too low if you’re not downstairs, plus there’s the overhang from the balcony, plus they leave half the house lights on. I’m 6’2 and I don’t think I’ve ever had a particularly good view when I’ve been there.

And yes - so much chatting going on. Annoying. Got in with no queue at 9 on the dot however.

That said, good performance - going to go type up my thoughts here:

Oh yeah should probably talk about the gig as well innit. Think I mentioned above that the self-titled is prolly my favourite record of this century and I was worried they might butcher some of the tracks on there but I’m really glad they gave revernce to If I Had a Heart and Keep The Streets Empty… That jungle breakdown at the end of Concrete Walls was fantastic.

Always thought I’m Not Done was the weakest track on that record, that version last night was exceptional. Would love a self-titled remix album ala the knif’s shaken-up versions.

This definitely put a smile on my face. As did the pussy line in To The Moon And Back getting a big cheer

Could see that coming a mile off but still made me chuckle :grinning:

Yeah, I really liked how they tweaked the older stuff (but also glad they left If I Had A Heart in tact). They put on a great gig, I can’t fault them at all. I just hated the venue and the people in it.

#london :disappointed:

Great show last night. Especially enjoyed the re-workings of the material off the debut album. Regarding people chatting, I didn’t notice anyone excessively talking but I was quite close to the front.

Granted, Troxy is a terrible venue though.

Anyone want 2 tickets for Albert hall tonight.
Will take less than face

London date announced in November - Seems to be a few presales floating about. Looks to be a small European tour, so i wouldn’t expect any other UK dates.

Playing as part of MIF in November.

There’s a Tuesday presale by the Warehouse Project, then general sale on Thursday.

Was planning to get tickets to this, ah well:

Whole tour cancelled so she can focus on her MH:
