I can now relive the magic on YouTube. Some atrocious goalkeeping from an otherwise decent keeper:
I shall forever be immortalised, lingering at the back corner entrance at the full time whistle after all the other fans in that stand had gone back to their cars.
cheap/free train travel means we are SO back. I just know the Enterprise National League hates to see me coming!!
did Wealdstone on Wednesday, off to Solihull tomorrow and Hartlepool on Easter Monday.
here we… here we… here we fucking go!!
(also Horsham’s new ground so the National League South is complete for another year. Braintree coming down and Walton & Hersham coming up is two new grounds for next year, then probably 2 new ones from the playoffs as well.)
Only managed two new grounds this year, Brixham(which was lovely) and Portishead(which was shit). Been to a few places that are just an astro by a main road now and the vibes are always terrible.
There are loads of local ones I haven’t done! I only started regularly (ish) doing away days in 2019, Margate is easier to get to from my parents’ so makes sense to do it while I’m housesitting. I was going to do it last summer as a pre season friendly but needed to sort my mum’s birthday present
I’m at St Mary’s on Saturday - the last of the new grounds this season. Puts me on 62/92. Promotion to the Prem is a very long shot so I don’t think I’ll be adding the Etihad/Emirates/Hill Dickinson etc next season, although I might be OK for a big stadium in London…
