Split tape between myself and Capac out today. Two sides of drastically different weirdness:

Big thanks to whoever recco’ed the Beach Bunny record. Filling the gap until the next Beths album very nicely.

Discovered that Gary Wilson has a new album out today. Almost finished a first play and it’s really good if you like his sort of thing.

He’s kind of in the middle of a venn diagram of They Might Be Giants. Frank Zappa, The Shaggs, The Residents and Ween

New record from Parachute for Gordo - my housemate put them on last night in Birmingham, was a great night. Occasionally mathy, sometimes danceable, often loud, just got added to the line-ups for Portal and ArcTanGent as well.

Cindy Lee. Got that old Mary Chain trick of writing a simple pop tune then drowning it in effects.

This is the standout track.

Aye, me too. Our label mates

The second track on the new The Men album is an absolute ripper, but the rest is just OK. They’re not really the band they used to be.

The new Bambara is fine as far as Nick Cave worship goes, but it’s very one-paced and I find it a bit monotonous after a while.

6/10 for both of those.

Moses Boyd is sounding a lot more promising so far.

For fans of classical/ambient/electronic. Mitochondrial Sun’s debut LP is out. Past singles have been great.

This unreleased Donnie & Joe Emerson song is beautiful;

Really enjoying the new Summer Camp album, they have been consistently great at what they do

Probably came out last week but who gives a shit. Enjoyed Fantano’s review of the horrendous new Green Day album.

New Kvelertak initially sounds like a better shot at injecting more classic rock into their sound than the last one, which I found incredibly dull.

Listening to this now. Wow! Another great rec from yourself. Brilliant stuff.

Its really bad and completely devoid of any personality.

Really liking the Nyx Nott album - Aidan Moffat’s new jazzy, ambienty instrumental project:

The Beach Bunny one is excellent too. Bambara up next.

The album is poor too
