What have you got today? Loads for me today.
New Max Cooper for complex electronica.
I’m surprised that 22 years later that I’m excited for a new Placebo album.
The Lovecraft sextet for spooky Doom Jazz
New WorriedaboutSatan had a great lead track.
Mammoth weed Wizard bastard for stoner doom
It’s all about Camp Cope for me. Their previous was my album of the year and really looking forward to the new one.
Aldous Harding- Warm Chris
Young Prisms- Drifter
Emma Ruth Rundle- Orpheus Looking Back
sorry no Spotify links here yet.
Quite fancy a Dead Can Dance live album so got my fingers crossed for one
I missed Absence in body.
It’s members of AmenRa, Neurosis and Sepultura and is as intense as that sounds.
That’s an insane week!
Never heard of Camp Cope, looks like I’m going to have to rectify that eh?
Alongside Camp Cope, Aldous Harding there’s also this from Barrie
Barrie - Barbara
Dream pop/indie pop
Looks like it’ll be a quiet week this week. Only the new Denzel Curry really interests me…
Their previous album was stunning. Starts of with an in your face indie rock song aptly called The Opener which is a fuck you to all sexists and ends with a heartbreaking song called I’ve Got You about loss. Brilliant live and a brilliant band.
All of this plus Georgia has an incredible voice which is uniquely Australian.
Yeah listening now, really liking it. “Anna” is a stunner.
Deluxe version already? I can vibe with that
All right, consider me in the Camp Cope club, what a voice.
These threads are fucking great.
I’m clearly biased but I think the world sleeps a lot on Australian music. Geography most likely (plus sheer saturation), but there is so much great music coming out of Australia considering its relatively small population
Fucked Up, you know that punk and everything else band? Yeah them. They’ve got a b-sides and all that album out
Especially from Melbourne. Camp Cope, Press Club, Amyl and The Sniffers and Grace Cummings. Any blokes in bands over there?
If so, tell them to try harder as the female fronted bands are kicking their arse.
Oh I’m well versed, loved Julia Jacklin’s last. Big Psychedelic Porn Crumpets fan
Glad to discover Camp Cope though!
