Guessing it came out last Friday as Pitchfork reviewed it in the week, but that Pure X album’s wonderful for this weather. Dreamy, hazy, shimmering indie rock soaked in echoes and reverb.
Had never heard of them before but from a quick listen it seems this is a (welcome) departure from a much cleaner and more pristine sound, so give it a go even if you’ve heard their older stuff. It sounds like a blissed out but bummed out lazy day lounging in the middle America sun.

The second album from Spanish indiepopsters Melenas (“Dias Raros”) is out together and is sounding great. They remind me a bit of an uptempo Stereolab with a bit of a shoegazey undercurrent.

Posted Ark a few weeks ago, but he has a new single and I’m digging it. He’s a US electronic artist who I found from the HBO show Euphoria’s soundtrack and been a fan since.
Think sounds great. Nice one.

Yeah, big fan of them too. Took me a while though - given their name - to realise they were a band rather than a solo artist!
Didn’t realise this was out today as I pre-ordered it on bandcamp day May 1st but just got a notification.
