Paco Cathcart - Down On Them
NYC musician with first album under their own name. Indie folk with winding guitar lines, synths, layered vocals and skittering drums. It’s sounding good.
I’d say Cory Hanson/Wand, pop era Jim O’Rourke and quieter YLT are the reference points that come to mind.

40 years and 1 day since Suzanne Vega’s debut album came out, this is the 10th album overall and first album in 9 years from the singer-songwriter who emerged from the 1980s Greenwich village folk scene. I’m a big fan of hers and have enjoyed what I’ve heard of this so far including the Dylan homage Chambermaid and the punky (for her) Rats.
