New Kelsey Lu and Rosalia singles too by the looks of it
Mrs. Piss might be fun? Didn’t know @ruffers was married
Flying Lotus- Flamagra (Instrumentals)
Deerhoof- Future Teenage Cave Artists
Baths- Pop Music/False B Sides II (electronic/downtempo, IDM)
Inventions- Continuous Portrait (drone, post rock)
Seems Prince and Revolution have Live in NYC 85 reissue as well.
Bunch of other ambient and drone.
Good week, let’s get cracking.
Didn’t even hear Inventions had a new one due - nice!
First listen to Chromatica thoughts:
The Elton John one must be listened to by all, golly
Christian Lee Hutson has a debut album out. He plays with Phoebe Bridgers and I think she produced it as well. Should be lovely folk record.
Applescal (ffo that sort of easy listening album-oriented dance music whatever)
2nd Grade - Hit To Hit. Indie pop from Double Double Whammy
Lady GAGA seems like serviceable background music and not much more. Dont think she’ll ever hit Fame Monster levels again
Like its performed well and GAGA is still a great vocalist full of personality with her delivery but unfortunately the music its self is generic dance pop. Just wish she made some bolder choices when it came to production, it’s all very one note
New Inventions as well by the looks of things so that’ll be good
Sweet Whirl - How Much Works : luscious indie pop from Australia. An upbeat Lana Del Ray would be a fair comparison. Really sweet songs with a lot of nice quirks in the arrangments
New Deerhoof! Probs for this afternoon so I can at least concentrate on work for the morning.
Will also get to the Mrs Piss album as liked the singles, Baths and Inventions too at some point.
New Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist album
Oh. I liked one album of theirs years ago but have somehow completely forgotten about them. Will give this a whirl.
Louise Lemón - Devil
I really liked her first ep, kinda had the same feel of Emma Ruth Rundel and A.A. Williams. But this is
If you ever wondered what Lana Del Ray would sound with a shoegaze influence, well this is your morning. (but not as interesting as that sounds)
Tesa. French instrumental metal
Huge, fuzzy and riffy. Good stuff.
Mrs. Piss. Chelsea Wolfe and Jess Gowrie make filthy rock n roll
Electronic post-rock from Saint Petersburg via Holy Roar
