Any fans of Rhye on here? Not heard the new one yet…just checking in. All hinges on the quality of the songs really…
(the first track on the new Justin Timberlake album is pretty good)
Great bass line. Might do a video, should really do more modern stuff.
Well if ever there was an endorsement for me… Prolly bung this on in a bit
I loved the first Rhye album, even though it is not really ‘my sort of thing’. Looking forward to this one.
That and Hookworms for me this week.
Is there anway to a me spotify only show albums in the new releases bit? (On phone/android)
Love the Phobophobes record, been a long time coming, sounds fantastic.
With soft moon a spin in a bit
Oooo this is really nice - vibes of chvrches and later-era Tegan & Sara.
you bigging up your own suggestion? Ha love it
That’s quite an intriguing description…
Hadn’t heard it before posting. But yeah, I’m now congratulating myself
It’s got slightly poppier vibes than chvrches and more electro than T&S. 2nd track is an absolute banger.
Oh sorry I misread… looked like you were championing it and then giving a little bump
Added to my weekly “albums to listen to” weekly playlist . Thought she was familiar, I remember her being a bit of a nothing sort-of folk artist before…from reading around, it sounds like the move to electronic art pop is a wise choice…
Unfortunately I am not actually Everything Everything
Yeah hadn’t heard of her before. Think this might be my fun car journey record for 2k18.
This is sounding really nice
Right, it’s too late to edit my first post…but I have now had a proper listen and can highly recommend it. It’s had the kind of impact that I’m going to put it on again almost immediately. There’s more of a change up in pace and acoustics on this album…but it’s still super super smooth r&b/electro-soul, with gorgeous beats and that fantastic androgynous voice.
Anyone else heard the Efrim menuck album?did nothing for me at all on first listen
Nope, thought it was pretty meh
Glad it’s not just me. Had to sling on “grace the corners of our rooms” to remind myself how good he used to be.
