Kosmischer Laufer - Secret Cosmic Music Of The East German Olympic Program 1972-83, vol. 5

Some bloke from Scotland pretends to unearth his old training music for East German Olympic athletes. It’s not real, but it is wonderful, cosmic krautrock by numbers. I absolutely love everything this guy has done and I’m really excited for this one too.

DJ Seinfeld - Mirrors Remixed

This was my favourite album of 2021. Accessible melodic house. It bangs. Bet the remixes are great too.

Body In The Thames (@BodyInTheThames) - The Compleat JAMuaryer 2023

Our very own BITT made a new bit of music every day in January! He’s included a PDF of linear notes with this :exploding_head:. Can’t wait to get stuck in.

Forever Pavot - L’Idiophone
Big sounding chamber pop, electronica, strings, in a Sebastien Tellier kinda way. Sounds very intriguing to me.

Andrew Broder - The Show Original Soundtrack
Fog is back, but under his own name, with a reworking of songs he made for The Show.
‘Dark beats, nocturnal drones, celestial synths’
Has guest contributions from KAZU, Dua Saleh, serpentwithfeet, Moor Mother, and Billy Woods.

Mol Sullivan - A Little Hello
First heard the title track last month and loved it, so I’m hoping the rest of the album is as good. Nice upbeat Steady Holiday type sounds, indie pop catchy melodies.

The Go! Team - Get Up Sequences Part Two
Upbeat dancy folk are back with a ‘cosmopolitan, kaleidoscopic and genuinely euphoric record.’

Dina Ogon - Oas
60s sun drenched vibes sung in Swedish, with band members from Turkey and Columbia also.

Someone - Owls
(aka Tessa Rose Jackson) Acoustic laid back psych indie pop.

Straight White Teeth - World’s Greatest Video Editor: Volume 2 (ep)
Nice lofi bedroom indie pop.

Santomimagae - Awa
A re-issue, with extra tracks, of her debut album 10 years ago (which I haven’t heard so is all new to me). Nice delicate acoustic dreamy ambient sounds from Japan.

Wow. This goes to the top of the pile

Jehst is top of the list for me today, after that I’ll be checking out…

Milc & Televangel - Neutral Milc Motel: Extended Stay

Rather than a straight up Deluxe version of the album with some bonus tracks tagged on the end, this is a separate collection of new tracks alongside remixes of the original album tracks. The original album was one of my top 10 Hip-Hop albums of last year so I’m looking forward to giving this a listen.

This actually sounds really nice …I’m right in thinking coxon as a person is to be avoided? Rose sounding lovely

Came out a few days ago, but not seen it mentioned:

Bruxa Maria - Build Yourself A Shrine And Pray

Angry as fuck, caustic noise rock on one of the best labels going atm.

Also looking forward to Young Fathers.

I am also spinning this from Jarrod Dickenson, mix of alt country, rock and soul - really catchy and I love his voice.

Cinephonic - Visions - Jazz
Funky jazz that sits nicely in the background but packed full of talent. They themselves describe is as a soundtrack to a film that doesn’t exist, its a little better than that though. Epic stuff.

Didn’t know there was a new Dina Ogon out today, buzzing
