Just the aforementioned (but until now unlinked) Bill Callahan, and the new album from Afel Bocoum, the Malian musician from the same town as (and former member of the band of) Ali Farka Touré.

Hopefully find something else of note in the discussions here as it was the slimmest pickings I’ve gleaned from the release schedule for a long time.

Looks good/interesting. A bit pricey, but for a good cause!

Oooo, that’s going to be upsetting the neighbours later. :boom:

Ooh new single from SZA too.

I’ve been doing a lockdown project with my band pal, you can pre-order it now yay.

Does that count as a new release?

Bill Callahan is the big one. The Rolling Stones Goats Head Soup reissue too. And I might check out the Lawn album - I can’t remember what they sound like tbh but I remember enjoying the singles (possibly from a GFP blog?).

wanted to like this, really didn’t get much from it

Thanks for the heads up. Enjoying the Watertank album. Getting strong Jawbox vibes.

New '68 EP (I hate the title stupid title though)

FFO: Nirvana, noisy punk rock, The Chariot.

This is really lovely

Synth rock weirdness. Not sure I’m that into it.

Only thing not mentionned here is the new Dylan Henner for ambient fans “The invention of the human”…man is prolific as he released A Dingo Crossing the stream earlier in the year which I really got into and is one of my ambient records of the year.

Wow, literally.

Quite like the Sophie Hunger songs they’ve played on 6 music. A little bit “in my bedroom with my casio” but quite charming. First couple of songs on the album aren’t sounding like that at all though.

Her last album was quite enjoyable too.

Galya Bisengalieva - Aralkum. Experimental strings.

Thor & Friends - 3 & 4. Two separate albums. Percussion based mainly instrumental. Have listened to both and they are excellent. Not sure how to describe but recommend checking out.

I really liked her score for My Life As A Courgette. Wish it would get a release.
