This is very good! Wish it was on Spotify, but can understand why they would want to make some money out of it!

Thanks - enjoyed that. Laura’s podcast Attention Engineer is worth a listen too if you are yet to be acquainted.

I dip in and out of Attention Engineer. Too many podcasts, not enough time…

Opal Onyx are releasing “Vessel”, their first album in six years, today on Tin Angel, who are also having their first sale in ages (across all three imprints). Beautiful electronic drone pop.

Enjoying the Laura Groves and Kelly Moran/Prurient releases that have already been mentioned on the thread. And will be checking out The Postal Service live album amongst other recommendations.

Otherwise, for me, there’s Lost Horizons – In Quiet Moments. From Simon Raymonde’s current band (ex Cocteau Twin and current Bella Union boss) featuring a whole load of interesting collaborators. The first half of the album (8 tracks) out digitally today; the rest and the physical release in February.

Also, a few seasonal offerings, particularly Mathias Kom from the Burning Hell celebrating all the overlooked holidays with Mathias Kom’s Holy Hullabaloo

Memphis Industries record label has a Christmas album featuring Field Music, Jesca Hoop and The Go! Team among others

And a single from Kathryn Williams – Snow Angel – featuring Carol Ann Duffy

This is a brilliant fun listen.

Bought it and heard it on the way to my parents’ house. Made the long walk in the cold weather more Christmassy. Cheers!

Ah thanks! Listening to Lily upstairs do all of those Muppet voices in isolation was probably the highlight of making it I’d say

Hope to see you at a show (not necessarily ours - any show!) when things are a bit more back to normal

There’s a new Mountain Goats live album, it’s the audio from there two quarantine gigs, it’s called ‘The Jordan Lake Sessions’ and it’s pay what you want on Bandcamp.

The Chris Rea song is a brilliant finale to the EP.

Made me smile. Nice one.

Yep. Hopefully see you at a show soon. Your Christmas gig a couple of years back at The Finsbury was a perfect 10/10 Christmas show. Smiles all round. Great memories of that one.

That Sigur Ros album starts out pleasantly enough, but really improves as it goes along. It’s quite lovely. Not the kind of thing I’d normally listen to.

Respire, screamo(?) With strings and trumpets etc

Also available free/pay what you want on bandcamp this weekend
