🦷 šŸ‘ New Releases 06/06/2025 🦷 šŸ‘

Never started one of these before. Let’s see if I can do it right! I believe in myself!

What’s happening release-wise today then eh? I’ll start:

Turnstile - Never Enough

ā€˜Flute solos and formidable tunes from hardcore punk’s great crossover band’ says the Guardian. ā€˜Turnstile summer’ says Charli XCX.

Stephen Vitiello, Brendan Canty, Hahn Rowe - Second

Latest on the Balmat label, this intriguing one from US experimental electronic artist Stephen Vitiello collaborating with Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty and post-rock pioneer with Hugo Largo, Hahn Rowe.

Balmat’s write-up says that this album, ā€œmay begin in ambient-adjacent territory, but it quickly veers off, and it just keeps zigzagging, taking on elements of krautrock, post-punk, dub, and the groove-heavy interplay of groups like Natural Information Society and 75 Dollar Billā€.

Purelink - Faith

Chicago trio with follow up to 2023’s ā€˜Signs’. Glitch and minimal techno. I’ve heard them described as an ā€˜ambient boy band’, but they call themselves a ā€˜jam band’. Features Loraine James.
