New Sault album!
Dry Cleaning - Secret love
Clémentine March - Powder Keg
The French-British artist’s third album is a “kaleidoscopic collection of songs … influenced by jazz, folk, Brazilian music, 90s alt rock, disco and krautrock” sung partly in French and partly in English. Guests on the album include Naima Bock, Sophie Jamieson, Katy J Pearson, MF Tomlinson, Alabaster DePlume, Dana Gavanski.
The Fragiles – Sing the Heat of the Sun
Jangly indie pop from Philadelphia musician David Settle and bandmates.
Jenny on Holiday - Quicksand Heart
Solo album by Jenny Hollingworth from Let’s Eat Grandma is quite 80s-sounding pop to my ears, puts me in mind of Cyndi Lauper.
Pullman - III
Beautiful, fuzzy, dreamy post rock/electronic/experimental from Chicago supergroup. Their first album in 25 years following percussionist Tim Barnes (Jim O’Rourke, Silver Jews, Wilco, Stereolab) sad early onset dementia diagnosis.
Le Reste - Bleak Moments
Awesome indie pop from France!
Entry- Exit Interview
Hardcore punk from LA, feat one of Touché Amoré
Dry Cleaning slaps on first listen. New music is back baby, whooee.
Leaving Laurel - our lives entwined
Chilled house on Anjunadeep. Now just solo artist Gordon Huntley after the sad death of Pierce Fulton, this is Leaving Laurel’s third album.
Various Artists (Wizzz) - French Psychorama (1966-1979), Vol.5
Latest archive collection of French pop of the 60s and 70s, “packed with fuzz, gimmicks, and dissent”.
DIIV - Boiled Alive
Last year’s Diiv album played live in full.
The Cribs - Selling A Vibe
A new album from Indie rock and rollers, The Cribs.
Like this on first listen, itching that LEG itch a bit if not as expansive, particularly liked ‘Dolphins’
Winged Wheel - Desert So Green
A collection of indie rock veterans including Steve Shelley on drums. Sprawling sparse songs.
really don’t care if it’s a bit basic or whatever but i really enjoy this chap
Throwing Muses - Moonlight Confessions
Indie rock. The companion version to last year’s Moonlight Concessions album by the greatest band in the world makes it onto digital. Kristin Hersh says, “Moonlight Confessions is how the record sounded before we slowed ourselves down and cleaned ourselves up. It is possibly more fun in alternate version land, as alternate universes rarely apologize for their ungroomed natures. Same with us: this band is only occasionally presentable, and while both records have teeth, confessions are probably spit through pointier teeth.”
Oh! I got emails about this from Bandcamp morning, but I just assumed it was last year’s record in a new vinyl edition or something. Nice. Wonder how many people with miss it with the names so close.
Edit. - oh, I see. Thought it was a whole other load of songs. I need to wake up.
doh!
