New Releases 10/7/20

So what are we listening to today?

Just want to say that the new one from The Beths is great.

Also few guys from Polvo have a new band Silver Scrolls. Should be interesting. The debut album is out on Three Lobed Recordings.

Juliana Barwick.

Ambient/electronic artist using vocal loops. Really rich choral and orchestral sound. Songs releases so far have been astonishing

The Residents ‘Metal Meat n Bone’ for me! Been looking forward to it ever since the 2 singles, got a feeling it may be their best album in quite some time… if not their most approachable.

Will give The Streets mix tape album a spin, too.

Split tape by @worrier1 and @colossalhorse is gorgeous drone.

Completely forgot about MMJ. Really hope it’s better than part 1 as that put me off the band for a long time.

New Adeline if anyone’s in the mood for funky/jazzy pop with great bass playing

:grinning:

Going to give Lightning Orchestra a go this morning

Dubbing their music “psychedelic booty-shake” Lightning Orchestra’s expansive debut arrives on Acid Jazz on the 10th July. Taking its influences from a wide range of sources you’ll hear nods to Hendrix and Isaac Hayes, Orchestra Poly-Rythmo and Fela Kuti, Sun Ra and Talking Heads. All laid down in their Atlanta base to make one of the albums of 2019.

The Alchemist X Boldy James - The Price of Tea in China

Just a couple from me, other than lots of various singles that seem to have been released.

Soko - Feel Feelings
New album from French lady Soko.

Big Black Delta - 4
Seems to be a bit of a mixture of styles, some noise, some nice electro, some melancholic sounds. It definitely has some nice moments on my first listen through.
