Zara Alexandra - Yelling At The Sky

This is lovely.

A singer-songwriter who grew up with old mountain ballads and got comfortable with her voice in Appalachian picking circles. She gets most of her inspiration from everyday people, “community champions” and the unsung everyday hero’s like single mothers and solemn farmers. Her early music really resembled her big family in the Blue Ridge Mountains and her immigrant father who always reminded her to look outside her world. From living and working in a bookstore to working on goat farms she’s traveled around before setting out west to work on ranches and has since settled on a farm and ranch in southern Colorado.

Heres one I missed last Friday. Fun art pop, with really nice vocal takes, maybe one for @JaguarPirate @Funkhouser
Really enjoyed Wont come to your Opening and Throwing Your French Fries

HONEYMOAN - Pink Hell

yeah track 2 instantly appeals in a Wet Leg sorta way, hope the whole things holds up

Being someone who doesn’t know Vegyn’s other music and listened to Moon Safari to death back when it came out, I’m enjoying this so much more than I thought I would.

Those 1997 triphop preset drums really kill it for me. I like the other stuff that’s going on.

This is great - right up my street. Reminds me of Bas Jan.

Surprising, didn’t give me any AF vibes. Think the synths really suit him, might be his best yet, gorgeous imo

Grandmas House - Anything For You EP

This Bristolian quartet make me think of a grungier Porridge Radio.

Various Artists - Disk Musik: A DD. Records Compilation

Experimental but genre-hopping compilation of tracks from outsider artists whose work was released on the cult Japanese label DD Records during its short existence from 1980 to 1985.

Ævestaden & Sigurd Ytre-Arne - Gjennom natten
Last of three tracks from experimental Scandi-folkers collaboration:

Franky Wah - The Revival, Vol. 2

House mixtape from the Yorkshire producer. Hoping for at least one euphoric sound of the summer-style banger amongst these tracks.

Do you know if there will be an album or just the three tracks? I tend to just hold off properly listening until there’s a proper release.

I’m not sure how reliable Facebook’s ‘translate’ function is, but it sounds like this is the last from them for now:

This came out on Monday. Tiernan is the singer with deathcrash, but ‘Ribbon Songs’ is angsty singer/songwriter stylee. There a couple of very beautiful, moving songs here.

Listened to this yesterday and it’s really good. Been meaning to listen to her for ages and now I’m kicking myself for not listening sooner.

A late one.

Various Artists - fabric presents Carlita

Latest fabric mix is by the Istanbul producer, Carlita. Her mix is upbeat and funky house, techno and breakbeat, and is a summery good time.

I forgot to listen to Momma. How does it rate compared to the previous album?
