Cœur À L’Index - Adieu Minette

Sweet indie pop from Brussels.

Various Artists (Tru Thoughts) - Shapes 25

25th anniversary edition of the Brighton label’s annual compilation. This year’s 30 track collection is split into two parts, Part One covering their soul, downtempo and jazz releases, and Part Two highlighting their club and dance floor stuff.

Various Artists - Dekmantel Ten: A Decade Of Dekmantel Festival

44 tracks of dance music from artists who’ve played Amsterdam’s Dekmantel Festival over the years.

Malik Djoudi - Vivant
Les Inrockupitles asks if this is “the best French album of the year?” Not sure what the answer is, as it’s in French and paywalled, but I love Malik’s French smooth synth-poppy ways, and the first two songs sound nice.

Kraków Loves Adana - I Saw You I Saw Myself
Another returning favourite. “guitar-driven electronic ballads echo dream pop with a melancholic edge.”

Nemahsis - Verbathim
Canadian-Palestinian artist, who had signed with an LA label at the start of October last year and then dropped from her label seemingly due to her Gaza support. Catchy sounding alt-pop I think! Really like the few songs I’ve heard.

Porches - Shirt

New Porches day for me. Wonky queer coded synth pop, slightly grungy and gritty with the bops, also doing a UK tour this month.

Come on guys, it’s finally Gurriers time.

Gurriers - Come and See

You know the deal. Debut from the Dublin based rock band. Loved the singles and their intense performance at pitchfork festival last year.

Johnny Foreigner - How To Be Hopeful

On first listen it sounds exactly like a Johnny Foreigner album

Ross Farrar - Virgos in the Grass (feat. Mary Lattimore)

Ross Farrar of Ceremony has teamed up with Mary Lattimore for this eerie 26min ambient cut which I’m digging.

10th anniversary release of one of my favourite records ever.

However they do just seem to have done an instrumental version of it. Not 100% why. Hard to sing along to.
