Had no idea this was out, gave it a spin last night and loved it, thanks👍

Promise I’m not just sharing this for the cover art. Don’t know this band that well even though they’re from Notts, but I really, really like this.

Have you checked out the film yet? Really interesting and different to what I was expecting having not read much about the shows beforehand.

I really enjoyed it and I’d recommend anyone remotely interested in Springsteen watches it. The chat between songs is mostly pretty fascinating although I could have done with perhaps 10% less talking and did find some of the stories a bit contrived. I also felt a couple of the tracks didn’t quite work in the way they were reimagined (dancing in the dark as a heartfelt ballad I could have done without) but those that did work are just fantastic. He is pretty incredible - especially when you think he rolled that show out for a whole year.

Not yet - I’m saving it for the right moment; glass of wine etc.

I’m a fan but thought this could be a slog - heavily scripted anecdotes recycled from his book, two hours of dour solo acoustic renditions that just remind you of the perfect E Street Band versions, etc. Actually it flew by, and I thought the balance of stories and songs worked well. He is indeed incredible.

The bit about his dad, and then that version of Long Time Comin’

The Ghost of Tom Joad was similar to the version he opened the show with at Coventry in 2013, just superb.
