New Releases 16/10/2020

What a stacked Friday this week. My highlights:

Helena Deland - Someone New
Looking to this the most. Loved all her EPs from two years ago which had that perfect mix of pop and folk for me and her voice is so angelic.

Kevin Morby - Sundowner
I liked Oh My God but stripped down Morby is the best Morby.

Holy Motors - Horse
Dreamy americana vibes.

Will also listen to Matt Berninger.

Triple release day for Disintegration State as we go cassette happy! For various reasons (combination of our distributor agreement and pure incompetence), all but FLVZ (which is there today) will be coming out on streaming at a later date.

Sad drone

FLVZ / Steve Hadfield

There’s a new Hayden Thorpe (ex Wild Beasts) EP out today, I quite liked Diviner so will give that a listen.

Osees have another album out today (well it’s five tracks so an EP?).

William Elliott Whitmore has an album out too if you’re in to banjo slinging beardos.

Gulfer - 3rd album - loved god bless from 2018 and been looking forward to this one - Canadain lofi math, indie, emo type stuff somewhere between sunny day real estate and ovlov - maybe?

Sturgill Simpson - Cuttin’ the Grass

Acoustic (bluegrass?) renditions of highlights from his back catalogue. Been really getting into him lately and he’s a great writer, so I look forward to seeing how his songs reveal themselves in this form. First release since breaking with his label.
