Edit - beaten to it
Came out a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t grab me at first, need to give it another listen.
This is good! Dreamy but with some crunch too
favourite thread. everyone always puts in the effort, never a week lacking
On Ka’a Davis - Here’s To Another Day And Night For The Lwa Of The Woke
Cosmic jazz wanking in the grand tradition, sounding great on first impressions but will probably make me feel a bit covered in spiders after a while
The bass on the second half of Genie is
Various Artists - Everyone’s Getting Involved
Talking Heads covers album of the 16 song tracklist of Stop Making Sense. Featuring Lorde, The National, Miley etc.
Tidiane Thiam - Africa Yonti
Calm, meditative acoustic guitar and field recordings from Senegal
Friday again Garfie baby, and that can mean only one thing
Various Artists - The Garfield Movie OST
Gibbons and Eilish top of my list today, but also got South London’s Wu-Lu’s latest lined up. His last was a really interesting genre-hopping mix of hip hop, rock and electronic stuff, so looking forward to seeing where this one goes.
Wu-Lu - Learning to Swim on Empty
Not usually a Billie fan but really into this one so far
Lip Critic - Hex Dealer
Hyped New York double-drummer electro-punks, if electro-punk wasn’t a bad omen.
This is absolutely gorgeous. Aphex into Minutemen
Hiya DiS! First time poster, please be gentle.
Like buses when you’ve been waiting an age, three albums I’ve been looking forward to are released today.
I’ve already received and enjoyed the new Lovely Eggs album and attended the Bandcamp listening party yesterday for of Montreal’s ‘Lady On The Cusp’, which should be arriving later, along with the now-posthumous album by (masks band name with cough)
Loved the of Montreal album, as did the majority of the freaks in the comments, who bombarded Kevin with support and weird requests for anal bead merch for the upcoming tour. His appeal is, shall we say, more selective these days, but I absolutely rinsed the last album and it looks like this one will barely leave the turntable for months either.
New double album from worriedaboutsatan (to save you the jag @worrier1 )
New Olim officially released today. Excellent atmospheric black metal from Canada.
(not on songwhip, or Spotify)
haha, I came here to jag the shit out of that, so thank you for beating me to it!
just to add: it’s pay-what-you-want as it’s my birthday, so thought I’d release a double album of satan nonsense to celebrate
happy birthday @worrier1
playing it now, it’s great!
…and happy birthday! My present is the CD I just bought!
