Enjoying the crunchy feminist noisepop duo (it’s been a long day, that’s best description I could come up with) of “My War Is Your War” from deux furieuses.

That’s positively easy listening though when compared to “Fireraisers Forever!” from Comet Gain, who’re fucking furious, especially on Brexit-related opener “We’re All Fucking Morons”.

“Oh Steven, Why?” is an ace indiepop single for anyone disappointed by what an arsehole Morrissey turned out to be. So will give their “Brilliant” album (which I missed in May) a listen based on that.

Plus further votes for Battles and Jemma Freeman. Big day.

This Lanegan album is truly awful it pains me to say. Everything just so half arsed and it’s got the shittiest production I’ve heard in a long time.

Well, that new Jim James record is just gorgeous isn’t it.

Not a challenging listen by any means, but an utterly lovely accompaniment to a lazy sunday morning.

By vibes do you mean plagiarism? That song “tellmel’masinger” is pretty much “its a wonderful life” even has the exact same opening words and intonation…could be a conscious nod (cant not be i guess…)

Really like this MM single, the southern gothic thing really suits him imo. To me it sounds like the lighter end of The Seer/To Be Kind-era Swans broken down into bite size chunks.
