Ironsides - Changing Light

Debut album from these bay area musicians. Taking big inspiration from 60s and 70s eurosoundtracks and library music, this lot create a soundtrack to a film that only exists in their mind.

(If you like Surprise Chef or that Whatitdo Archive Group album from a couple of weeks ago, you’ll love this)

Cathedral Bells - Everything at Once

Dream pop/shoegaze from Orlando Florida.

Sarabeth Tucek is the big one for me. Her first album for twelve years, and the follow up to one of my favourite records of the 2010s. The early singles suggest a sort of Loaded-era VU sound.

KAYTRAMINE - KAYTRAMINE

A collaboration between Kaytranada & Amine, the singles have been fun, so looking forward to giving this a listen

Wiki - Papiseed Street Vol. 1

First release of the year for Wiki, the New York Rapper.

Estee Nack - Nacksaw Jim Duggan

Estee’s second release of the year, this one is on Griselda & has Westside Gunn’s influence all over it.

Califone - Villagers
Plenty of new stuff out today, but let’s start with Califone! Experimental alt-country/indie/whatever. Have liked the couple of singles I’ve heard so far.

Leaving Laurel - when the quiet comes

“a reflective record awash with warm piano, inviting textural percussion, and delicate melodies” according to rough trade.
Very nice so far.

Khanate - To Be Cruel
Drone metal supergroup featuring Stephen O’Malley from sunn o))). Expect a relentless, unpleasant, grimm listening experience.

Ghost - Phantomime
Theatrical metal band’s EP of covers. Ghost are fun but were better when they sounded like Blue Oyster Cult.

Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden
Anonymous British melodic metal collective with good masks. Basically this band sounds like Bastille but with big overproduced guitars and chuggy riffs.

Super melodic indie punk in the same vein as the Beths

Leith Ross - To Learn

Queer Canadian folk pop goodness that the kids love.

Just mandy, Indiana and Sufjan Stevens for me today I think. Got the Mandy, Indiana on now and liking it three tracks in. Reminds me a fair bit of Factory Floor. Miss that band.

New Mega Bog album. Her previous stuff has been ace so high hopes for this
