It’s great. Was listening to it this morning. Loving the slight old school grails touches all over it.

I love this album cover (I think you posted it in the artwork thread a while ago no?) but doom is not my favourite metal genre, I tend to find it quite boring. I listened to Four Phantoms recently and found it pretty hard going, may have to wait to listen to this until I can get suitably, how shall we say, herbally enhanced!

I thought I had but I couldn’t find it. Worth a repost anyways I think.

I love some doom but even I struggle with Bell Witch tbh. I admire the commitment to an aesthetic that led them to record 82 minutes of harrowing bleakness more than actually I enjoy listening to it. The likes of Usnea, Vokonis, Endless Floods, Cambrian and Primitive Man have all delivered more enjoyable doom/sludge releases this year for me.

I shall be picking up Lindstrøm in a couple of weeks, I guess.

I’m right impressed tbh. Not really my type of musix but it’s a great listen

I have a lot of love for both him and Todd Terje, and I just found out Jenny Hval is a guest vocalist on the new one which seals the deal for me.

That surprised me a lot as I was listening to it on the way home yesterday. Good old Jenny Hval, getting around this year

Got this today:

Much enjoying Zombie Zombie, and will try the others you list. Do Unloved have a new album tho’ - all I can find is 2016’s Guilty of Love. Ta in advance …

Loving the Lindstrom album.

Listening to this now. I’m not sure I’m prepared really.

Personally, Lindstrøm >>>>>>>> Todd Terje

New Fish Commish track came out on Friday… https://thefisherycommission.bandcamp.com/track/never-be-where-you-are

Yes I am affiliated, biased and shameless.

The Eyre Llew album is amazing. I’m part of the backing vocal group on the penultimate song, but I’m saying that impartially

TBF Terje’s only had one album and a bunch of EPs out. I reckon he’s a grower. Also, their duo on Lanzarote is silly bliss.

That Lindstrom album has been getting dealt wi all weekend. ‘Drift’ is such a jam!

Think the vocals on Shinin are my highlight. It’s stellar throughout, mind.

I’d have given it an 8 personally but I find it hard to write about Electronic music sometimes, which might be why it ended up as a 7

‘Value’ by Visionist is a pretty interesting take on grime - taking it down the self-reflective route and opening up the sounds to include more pianos/orchestration…although I don’t think it hangs together as well as ‘Safe’ as a whole.

‘Superlative Fatigue’ by Errorsmith is a strange and strong straight-up dance record - I initially thought it was too geared towards the tech geeks but after a few listens there’s a lot of melodies that stick with me and it’s a lot more fun than I imagined from reading about it.

Still haven’t listened to it yet.

@Twinkletoes you listened to Where You Go, I Go To yet?

Might have to resurrect the huge cosmic disco bangers thread. Or was that on the old boards?
