TBF Terje’s only had one album and a bunch of EPs out. I reckon he’s a grower. Also, their duo on Lanzarote is silly bliss.

‘Value’ by Visionist is a pretty interesting take on grime - taking it down the self-reflective route and opening up the sounds to include more pianos/orchestration…although I don’t think it hangs together as well as ‘Safe’ as a whole.

‘Superlative Fatigue’ by Errorsmith is a strange and strong straight-up dance record - I initially thought it was too geared towards the tech geeks but after a few listens there’s a lot of melodies that stick with me and it’s a lot more fun than I imagined from reading about it.

Zombie Zombie’s new album is indeed great, their best since the John Carpenter covers LP.

Yeah, sorry about Unloved, Spotify got it wrong in my Radar playlist and couldn’t differentiate between the good one and the awful death metal band with the same name!

So picked up It’s Alright Between Us As It Is yesterday, just given it a proper listen-through. It’s not his strongest work by a fair margin but it’s still emphatically Lindstrøm, his knack for building songs up out of either the simplest components or the most unlikely ones is so pleasing… even when he cock-teases/cunt-tickles as much as he does with Spire. I think Shinin is the weakest track; it feels like a jam from his early work compilation It’s A Feedelity Affair, Grace Hall’s vocals are so retro and in your face it never meshes for me. But Isn’t It (or Sorry in some places) and Bungl (Like A Ghost) are much better fits imo. Also, anyone else getting a major alternate-soundtrack-to-Blade-Runner vibe from the album as a whole?
