That Moses Sumney release is just fantastic, utterly engrossed the whole way, the atmosphere and journey is very engrossing

Iā€™m enjoying the new Lanterns on the Lakeā€¦I usually find them to tread too closely to MOR music,but this has a little more drama to it. A few too many ā€œon the noseā€ lyrics aside, itā€™s a lovely ā€œwide screenā€, post-rock influenced indie rock record.

Both the Agnes Obel and Rebecca Foon albums appear to be very nice orchestral popā€¦prefer the latter so far but only had one listen of each.

Prefer Miss Anthropocene to Art Angelsā€¦but thats personal as I find AAā€™s production to not be to my taste. Still not at the heights of Visions, though.

Feel like I should listen to King Krule as heā€™s somehow crept above Bright Eyes at EOTRā€¦but Iā€™ve never been bothered before. I think Iā€™ll leave the Moses Sumney record (which Iā€™m very hyped for) until it comes out in full in May.

love the way the orchestral/chamber instrumentation is arranged. Maybe his best since 2005ā€™s ā€œThe Way Upā€

some great, magical moments on this, even with itā€™s 77+ minute length. Reminds me at times of how I fell in love with Pat Methenyā€™s music many years ago.
