I’m enjoying the new Lanterns on the Lake…I usually find them to tread too closely to MOR music, but this has a little more drama to it. A few too many “on the nose” lyrics aside, it’s a lovely “wide screen”, post-rock influenced indie rock record.
Both the Agnes Obel and Rebecca Foon albums appear to be very nice orchestral pop…prefer the latter so far but only had one listen of each.
Prefer Miss Anthropocene to Art Angels…but thats personal as I find AA’s production to not be to my taste. Still not at the heights of Visions, though.
Feel like I should listen to King Krule as he’s somehow crept above Bright Eyes at EOTR…but I’ve never been bothered before. I think I’ll leave the Moses Sumney record (which I’m very hyped for) until it comes out in full in May.
