Where’s all the new music friday peeps at on this fine Friday?

Pet Shimmers - Anon Playable Cloud
This is a surprisingly good album released this late in the year. Catchy interesting alt-psych band. The frontman is Oliver Wilde (who @funkycow seems to be a fan of), and also has one of the ex-singers from Happyness as part of the band. Previously toured with Alex G, and definitely has similar sounds at times.

Talons’ - After Talons’ Demos
Released five days ago, but why not add it to this thread. Nice slow sad acoustic songs from Talons’ chap.

Lupen Crook - Christmas on Drugs And Other Cold Cuts EP

Outsider folk.

Dark, twisted, a master of folk-horror nightmares made audible; following 2020’s surprise comeback album How Rotten Were The Teeth and an impressive year of exhibitions for his outsider art paintings, the last thing to expect was the release of this surprise Christmas EP. It perhaps goes without saying that it is far from the traditional Christmas fare; but in the same breath, it also is not a contrived attempt at irony. Instead the lead track Christmas on Drugs is the festive release so many will relate to and thus need, tackling the issues of depression and isolation that plague much of the population.

Came out on Weds, but the new MIKE album ‘Beware of the Monkey’ is predictably great, ffo the likes of Wiki, Earl Sweatshirt, Alchemist etc
