Their downward trajectory from Our Love To Admire (which I loved) or arguably TOTBL, is quite astonishing really. Typically a couple of great tracks on the latter releases then just nothing for me.
Will dive into Marauder today, but not hugely excited at the prospect.

The opener of White Denim’s new-ie has some serious T-Rex vibes and the vocals on the title track weirdly remind me of Dan Auerbach which is all fine by me.

I normally prefer his stuff when it’s more modern-classical than ambient but the beat driven stuff on this one is actually really good.

Im glad they’ve gone more murky and jerky than Stiff. This is obviously stuffed with hooks and good vibes but they’ll need a little more digging to get familiar with

The Residents - I Am A Resident which is a weird fan cover/remix/mash up thing sounds really bloody good first listen. Basically fan covers has been remixed into something new by the band

I’m going to be a little contrary and say I actually quite like the new Interpol on first listen. Think the production has a bit of a muddy feel that actually makes it feel more distinctive than the last couple of albums. Have to say I found El Pintor pretty boring and actually more like an extension to the s/t album that most people disliked. At least the s/t had some songs that actually stuck in my head.
