Synthy dreampop from Hamburg, FFO Beach House, Angel Olsen, Alvvays.
Just realised this came out as well yesterday
Havukruunu - Tavastland
New album from the Finnish bm band
Deep Sea Diver - Billboard Heart
Indie rock, her last album Impossible Weight was very good and overlooked, haven’t heard anything off this one yet.
Hachiku - The Joys Of Being Pure At Heart
Quite liked their previous album, dreamy indie pop. Mary Lattimore guests on a couple of tracks.
And another!
Mordran - Witchwood: A Dark Fantasy Role Playing Game
Dungeon synth soundtrack for a game that doesn’t exist
Soft Blue Shimmer - They Will Leave Us With Nothing
3rd album of dreamy alt rock from California. Think they recently played a few dates over here with Cold Gawd.
The Men - Buyer Beware
New one from NYC scuzzy post-punk lot. On Fuzz Club
Edith Frost - In Space
First album in ages from folky/Americana singer-songwriter.
Its Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday
Yep its that Rebecca Black but fair play to her tbh, overcame a decade of the worst kind of internet abuse to make a record of genuine pop bangers.
Hugely Charli coded, bit of Polacheck and Grimes in there- heavy dance and electronica synthpop. Vocals seem good. Yeah enjoying it.
Rebecca Black- Salvation
banks - off with her head
I did NOT know there was a new Banks album coming.
Always seems massively overlooked in here but I’m a big fan
I guess for fans of Lykke Li
oooh at last. this was meant to be out last month, but for the fires. Her last album was fantastic.
Looking forward to this one
Uk death metal. Debut was a great record and now they’ve jumped to the big boys Relapse. Excited to hear it.
A couple of nice country releases today.
Charles Wesley Godwin - Lonely Mountain Town
New 7 track EP of sad boy country from West Virginia.
Zach Top and Billy Strings - Me & Billy EP
Three of Zach’s songs played live with Billy Strings. Billy’s playing is always worth a listen imo.
Ichiko Aoba - Luminescent Creatures
Japanese singer-songwriter Ichiko Aoba returns with an album that combines Japanese folk with jazz and ambient.
Loving this. Thanks for the recommendation
The 3D spatial audio production on this Max Cooper album sounds phenomenal.
Love me a bit of Charles Wesley Godwin sometimes, real cowpoke shit.
Grup Ses & Gökalp K - Grup Ses & Gökalp K
Collaboration between two Istanbul-based beatmakers. Instrumental hip-hop, dubstep and jungle. Enjoying this so far.
Everything is Recorded - Richard Russell is Temporary
Stellar list of collabs on the new’un from the XL Recordings head, Bill Callahan, Sampha, Florence, Laura Groves, Kamasi Washington to name a few.
