Geese innit.

Agreed, it’s bloody good. Excellent collaborators too.

Memorial - S/T

On a quick glance and before I start going through the rest of the suggestions, I think the only one to add would be…

Scalping - Void - Album - Electro
Bristol based electro punk, that reminds me of Fluke. I think I preferred their EP Flood as it had a bit of a sharper edge to it.

Fontaines DC, Kathryn Joseph and Spiritualized were last week’s top three.

This record is such a throwback that it genuinely shocked me. The first half is almost yacht jazz-rock style Herbie Hancock meets Level 42 bass meets Chromeo synths and then the second half basically chucks that out the window for something entirely different.

I hope someone’s listened to this record because I feel that you’re either going to LOVE it or you’re going to absolutely HATE it.

The sax on this is just so… a proper pastiche but it fits so well

^this

Didn’t make it all the way through I’m afraid

woah, the Tomberlin album is beautiful

The Kelhani album is really great. Can’t believe I’m enjoying listening to Justin Beiber in 2022 or any year really. This track in particular is stunning

Really enjoying this album.

Höröyá - Gri Gri Ba

Brazilian and West African group playing extremely funky afrobeat jazz.

GAF & the Love Supreme Arkestra - Garden Island

Canary Islands improved jazz ensemble channeling Alice Coltrane and Sun-Ra through a spacey krautrock prism.

You weren’t wrong here, just got this on now and I love it! Plastik Beatniks was also excellent.

Weval - Time Goes EP

Nice little electro-house EP, lots of warm synth sounds, from a Dutch duo who I definitely remember first coming across on this forum when there were some fans of their albums in 2016/2019.

Steven Lambke - Volcano Volcano

Solo record from a member of The Constantines. One band I never really got into, probably should give them a go, especially as I used to regularly play basketball with Mr. Lambke’s brother.

David Lynch - Ghost of Love / Imaginary Girl

Tracks from Lynch’s Inland Empire getting released on vinyl and digital for the first time to celebrate the movie’s 2022 theatrical re-release.

Siete Catorce - Cruda

Really enjoying this album of Latin electronic bangers from Mexican producer Siete Catorce. Polyrhythms and twisted, tribal percussion. For fans of Livity Sound.

Finally made it to the end of my playlist for April!

Black Mango - Quicksand

Tuareg-influenced rock from a French producer who has been based in the Malian capital Bamako for 16 years producing for the likes of Samba Touré. I’m a big fan of Malian music in general and this slightly slower, moodier take on it is really quite engrossing.

Shelf Lives - Yes, offence

Missed this at the end of April, but just listened to this mini-album from Shelf Lives and really liked its sleazy electro rock sound. For fans of Peaches. It was Joyzine’s review from today that brought it to my attention.
