thanks man, it’s appreciated!

I’m actually a week late on this one but listening to Pivot Gang’s You Can’t Sit With us - hip hop group lead by Saba

I’ve got the Stereolab / Mars Audiac Quintet rerelease on it’s way to me in the post, and I might buy the A Certain Ratio box set (the three cd one which is about twenty five quid, not the vinyl one which is over a hundred pounds).

Maybe I should actually listen to some new music too.

will check later today

Thanks for the reminder. I’m intrigued to hear what the new line up sounds like.

Crack Cloud’s new video is up. I love that band and this is the best thing they’ve ever done musically and visually

Bad Religion have a new one. Sounds like Bad Religion but that’s no bad thing.

New Versing out today - big Sonic Youth feel, so along with Drahla today makes an old Sonic Youth fan rather pleased.

Versus - Ex Nihilo

First new release in 9 years, an EP by the legendary Baluyut brothers. Indie rock from NYC.

Really not sure on this new Vampire Weekend, ‘it’s aggressively uncool’ in places is probably the best way I can describe it. Some great songs but a lot of cheese thrown in, perhaps too much.

New split EP on Disintegration State from me and @Elights

We each produced then remixed each other’s tracks. Bass and rhythm heavy IDM / D&B / twisted house with that movie’s themes as an inspiration

A Certain Ratio have put out a B-sides and rarities compilation called acr:box. That’ll serve nicely as the soundtrack to my afternoon before their show tonight at Islington Assembly Hall!

What are people’s views on the Vampire Weekend album? I think there is plenty to enjoy but it’s a bit overlong and unfocused after the brilliance of the last one. Seems to take a dip in the middle with great songs at the start and the end, but maybe those in the middle will grow on me. Still better than any album with that cover deserves to be though.

Only listened once, and not overly taken so far.
